This Nitro Gear kit includes both the 8" Clamshell Stub Axle Bearing Removal Tool and the 8" clamshell bushing required to remove the factory needle bearing on the front driver side of your Toyota and replace it with a clamshell bushing.
It's a known issue that the factory Toyota driver side CV axle needle bearing can become a source of vibration and noise. The solution is to replace it with a Nitro Gear clamshell bushing (bushing elminates needle bearing inside carrier).
Kit includes:
- One Sintered PTFE Bushing, metal backed, bronze inlaid, PTFE coated CV axle bushing for Toyota 8" front clamshell differential. Fits all 05 and up Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, and 03 up 4runner. Replaces Driver side CV axle needle bearing with bushing to help control Vibration and shaft float common on these differentials (AKT8S)
