When it comes to off-road driving, having strong and reliable recovery points is crucial. However, the lack of industry standards for rated tow points has caused confusion among four wheel drivers for many years. In order to set a benchmark for the design, testing, and selection of recovery points by 4WDers, ARB has taken on the task. Their recovery point range addresses common issues with generic tow points, such as questionable mounting locations, confusion over rated shackles and straps, and the inability to handle stresses during angled vehicle recovery. With a focus on individual customer needs, ARB has created an "engineered Recovery Train" that includes vehicle-specific recovery points rated for use with a 4.75t bow shackle and 17,600lbs snatch strap.
