We don't offer MULE rides! MULE is actually an acronym for Multifunctional Utility Logistics Equipment. Plus, the mule animal is the ideal sure footed, carry everything offroad "vehicle."

Back in 2012 before MULE became an official overland company, the owners built a Vanagon Syncro which they named DASMULE. DAS was a nod to the German engineering behind the vehicle while MULE is an acronym for Multifunction Utility / Logistics Equipment. Hence, The MULE or DASMULE.

The official company name is MULE Expedition Outfitters but the DASMULE heritage stuck. You'll still hear some of our legacy customers refer to us by that name on occasion.

We have two brick and mortar locations which feature fully stocked retail showrooms, comprehensive displays and state of the art installation bays.

Yes! We offer professional installation services at each of our locations for every product you purchase through our website or our physical stores.

Note: We do not install products not purchased through us.

Yes, we offer a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty on our work. Product warranty is limited to the manufacturer's warranty. All warranty settlements are subject to the manufacturer's waiting period to allow inspection of warranted goods, and to the manufacturer's determination regarding the validity of the claim.

Returns Questions

Your satisfaction is our number one priority. If you receive a product other than what you ordered, your order is incomplete or it is damaged, please CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY and we will work with you to remedy the situation.

Customer ordering errors, dissatisfaction, no longer wanting a product, or any other reason for wanting to return a product other than MULE Expedition Outfitters documented error will only be accepted on a case by case basis at our discretion. Shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

Items in the customer's possession for longer than 30 days will not be accepted for return for any reason. If you knowingly accept delivery of an incorrect product and open the box, you own it.

  • MULE Expedition Outfitters accepts no liability for products damaged by misuse, improper installation, or modification. We recommend professional installation for every product sold, and all products are for OFF-ROAD USE ONLY, unless clearly noted otherwise.
  • All cancellations, exchanges & returns must be authorized by MULE Expedition Outfitters and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained prior to returning products or incoming packages may be denied.
  • All order cancellations are subject to a 10-20% fee; once an item has shipped it can no longer be cancelled.
  • All returns will be subject to at least a 15% restocking fee; once 15 days have passed since the item is received the item can no longer be returned or was a custom/made to order item. Large items, such those that are shipped truck freight, are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Shipping charges are not refundable.
  • MULE Expedition Outfitters will not authorize or accept any item that has been opened, used or modified. Returns must be in new condition, with all parts and instructions, in the original undamaged packaging.
  • MULE Expedition Outfitters will not accept returns on electronics, turbochargers, body parts or any item listed as special order or non stocking item.
  • Returns and cancellations are accepted and authorized entirely at the discretion of MULE Expedition Outfitters
  • Returns and cancellations may be credited in the form of store credit at the discretion of MULE Expedition Outfitters
  • SPECIAL ORDER items cannot be cancelled, exchanged, returned or refunded for any reason. 
  • Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty only; settlements of all claims are subject to manufacturer's waiting period to allow inspection of warranted goods.
  • Gift Cards both in-store and Online cannot be refunded.

Shipping Questions

For in stock products, we ship within 1-2 business days.

For special order products that require manufacture, or orders for products we don't typically stock, lead times can vary sometimes up to 12-16 weeks. If you are concerned about getting your product by a certain date, please reach out to us prior to placing your order for more accurate lead time information.

Yes, we will email you tracking information for your order as soon as the shipping label is created. Most of our shipments going out via USPS or UPS.

Sorry, we currently only offer shipping to the USA.

Sorry, MULE does not ship to Freight Forwarders under any circumstances. If you place an order shipping to a freight forwarder, your order may be canceled and payment authorization voided.

Most orders, excluding drop ship orders, ship from our main warehouse in Issaquah, WA.

Yes, if you live near one of our store locations and the product for your order is in stock at that location, simply choose local pick up when placing your order. You'll receive an email notification when we've prepared your items for pick up.
